This piece was created to auction off for disaster relief for Hurricane Katrina. I wanted something bright and cheerful, that was more hopeful than sad.

I did make a couple prints to keep. :)

Watercolor pencil, india ink, acrylic paint and silver pen. Copyright to me, 9/2005.

Great piece.
The gem that's the dragon's eye and the one in the girl's glove... that's how she's supposed to being able to summon it. That is great, to place there the element that is making that summon work. I'd say that makes an already great work to go even greater.
Also I understand the dragon is in the summoning process and it's not completely formed. And the girl happy seeing how well it's forming in advance to the splendor it will have. But I see it can be thought as the dragon being complteted, being something like that, which would make it more 'magical' and I think would give it to the work a more of a... uhm... cheerful mood (poor words for what I mean)
Thanks for your great work, which also shouts what this commenter above said.

That is totally amazing, the dragon looks quite cute and i love teh way the crystals look like they are actually glowing to give dragon life, and the girls expression is one of joy at seeing him come alive!! This is really good, and does give a sense of hope. Keep up the great work. *gives you GIANT cookie*
